The Health Sciences Library at St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, New Jersey, a major, multi-site teaching facility, is looking for a part-time, 20 hour a week, Medical Library Assistant.
Candidates should be energetic, friendly and enthusiastic.
Job responsibilities include: aiding in the overall functions of the library; assisting physicians, nurses and students with library resources; document delivery of materials; circulation; processing new books and journals; using computer databases; maintaining a clean and organized library environment; participating in hospital-wide activities and events.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or some college courses; or a combination of education and experience preferred
Computer skills/internet capabilities
Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills; ability to work as a team member
Must be able to lift, climb and bend
